Oculus is the easiest way to perform and share analysis of huge SQL datasets.
Gone are the days of haphazard flat files storing unlabeled data from long-forgotten queries. With Oculus, your queries and metadata live together at a single URL, ready to be shared at a moment's notice.
Oculus keeps a history of your queries, the results they returned, and the precise time they were run, so your research is always at hand.
Oculus supports MySQL and Postgres, and runs on Ruby 1.9.2 and above.
In addition, I highly recommend using a readonly SQL account.
Oculus is the brainchild of Paul Rosania. As a growth hacker, I spend a lot of time looking at data. I needed a tool that made it easy to run complex analysis and share it with decision makers within my company. Oculus was born of this desire.
If you're intrigued by Oculus, or just want to chat, get in touch! I love meeting people. And of course, I'd be flattered if you followed me on Twitter, @ptr. Cheers!
